Question New ImunifyAV extension is missing notification settings and templates in Plesk notifications?

In the previous ImunifyAV extension, Plesk offered notification settings in Plesk notificates. It was also possible to edit that template to cater for individual needs.

In the new ImunifyAV extension however, these settings are missing. Where can we define ImunifyAV notifications?

Does the new extension send email notifications by itself at all? I am asking, because I'd not want users to receive messages from it uncontrolled, it would only confuse users.

It shouldn't send notifications unless a custom script is configured. However, I will test that to be certain and I will let you know.

I checked out the script samples that ImunifyAV provides, but it seems that it is no longer possible to inform individual user accounts on their individual domain security issues as there are no variables to use for that or they are undocumented. Further, even the simple example shell script has 200 lines. Even if there was an option to use variables, we'd still need to develop the routines that identify and load the matching plesk user data from the Plesk database to insert it, then we'll need to provide HTML mail capabilities to use the notification template etc.

All in all this is a very strong decline in usability. It's basically removing the previously valuable feature that users are informed about malware in their accounts.

@Peter Debik; Why order ImunifyAV+ directly from CloudLinux? And then install it from CLI. I expect more and better options.

Thank you for the feedback @Bitpalast . I forwarded it to our team and they are currently discussing how to improve the notification management with CloudLinux. As soon as I have more details, I will let you know.

Oops... Terribly sorry, made a mistake there. I forgot to use "not", so it should have read: Why not order ImunifyAV+ directly from CloudLinux?
Sorry!!

@Bitpalast , our team confirmed that CloudLinux are currently actively working on improving the notification system and integrating the possibility to notify users for security issues. The ETA is the end of Q2.

Can you please stop the upgrade from "ImunifyAV" to "ImunifyAV+"? The extension is quite pointless without notifications.

and just now I also noticed that no information related to Malware is displayed to Customers anywhere....
A customer needs to open the Imunify module to see what's going on....

The new ImunifyAV+ does not notify and does not display any information to customers o_O.

I am afraid this is not possible, @Mark_NLD . Regarding the notifications our PMs forwarded the feedback to CloudLinux and the ETA for the expected improvements was set to end of Q2. I will double-check if we can provide any further details if there are any changes.

Unfortunately, we are not in charge of what exactly is included in terms of features/functionality of the new extension. I will, however, forward your feedback to our PMs so they can further discuss it with CloudLinux's team. Thank you for sharing it.

Yeah it's absurd. The old version was much more user friendly than the old. We had quite a few remaining Plesk server customers who had ImunifyAV+ but the majority cancelled or did not renew their license. Simply unfriendly interface and bloated with Imunify360 stuff.

And they promise to improve... Yeah right. The joke is on us.

Can we downgrade ImunifyAV? The new ImunifyAV+ has no value for us.
There is a method. But it's not solid. I was using a workaround to get the old version active. But now I am on vacation and do not have the time to further test is.

Everyone, I just want to follow up on the matter with the missing notifications option in the new Imunify extension. CloudLinux and our team are still working on implementing this functionality, the ETA is mid July.
