New sites published with bad navigation links

Has anyone had this problem:

I have published a number of sites using Sitebuilder without any problems. I have just been working on a site and discovered that the navigation links point to the wrong folder / address.

For example:

Homepage: http://www.eaglewind.net/site/ click on the link for "page 2"...

http://www.eaglewind.net/Sites/6ca2b607-cbf4-400e-893c-25064a92a45c/page2.html

... Not Found, but if you remove the site reference code, it works...

http://www.eaglewind.net/site/page2.html

Also, most of the sites I have produced using SiteBuilder use the aspx extension and now it is producing .html

example:

http://www.whistler2bedroom.com/site/page1.aspx

Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue.

Thanks,

SeanB

Problem Fixed (automatically)

Just to let you know that after a few days of adding more content, SiteBuilder published the site with .aspx extensions and all the navigation links working properly.

example:
http://www.eaglewind.net/site/page1.aspx

Thanks anyway,

SeanB

I have the same problem

Hi,
I have the same problem,

domainname.dot/Sites/60067339-614e-4afd-8d11-19a14ce7df8f/pagename.htm

How can fix this problem?

Please HELP!

Thanks.

Which version of SiteBuilder for Windows

subito,

I contacted SWsoft email technical support and Igor Safonov sent me the following reply:

This problem was solved in Sitebuilder 4.0.0 hotfix1:
ftp://download1.swsoft.com/SiteBuilder/Windows/4.0/sitebuilder-4.0.0_build070801.253_hf1.txt

Hotfix is available at:
ftp://download1.swsoft.com/SiteBuilder/Windows/4.0/sitebuilder-4.0.0_build070801.253_hf1.exe

But we suggest to install hotfix3 as it contains fixes for some more errors:
ftp://download1.swsoft.com/SiteBuilder/Windows/4.0/sitebuilder-4.0.0_build071002.303_hf3.txt
ftp://download1.swsoft.com/SiteBuilder/Windows/4.0/sitebuilder-4.0.0_build071002.303_hf3.exe

I am currently running SiteBuilder 3.2 and they recommended that I upgrade.

As I mentioned, the problem resolved itself within 1 - 2 days. I was prepared to change the pages and links in Dreamweaver but when I continued editing, Sitebuilder finally published the site the way I wanted.

Let me know how it turns out.

Upgrade to SiteBuilder 4.0.0

You download and install the code.

Purchase the license key online and install it after they send it to you.

I really like some of the new features in 4.0.0

Good luck!
