New to VPS - Help!

Just got going on Plesk yesterday having been on a managed platform for a number of years.

Already ran into a couple of problems and have no idea how to fix them. Is anyone able to help?

1. FTP - no valid servers configured
Trying to FTP I get the above error message. Am I doing something wrong?


2. PHP -Versions/Update
How do I find what version of PHP I'm running?
If i go to Tools & Utilities > Update > ...it just times out.


Any help greatly appreciated!

To resolve the FTP issue I was using the hostname "mts.servers.net". As this was against my providers domain name for the default on the servers, this would be causing problems with the FTP client.

I changed the hostname of my server to be the a sub domain of my primary domain, ie "server1.mts.com". For example, server.[domain name].
