How can I change the nextcloud data folder with a symlink to a new mounted drive for a domain hosting only nextcloud ?

I've allowed symlinks in apache/nginx settings

i've tried without success.. I've set same permissions on the new folder .. mounted the drive via fstab UUID.... /mnt/new_drive

ln -s /older/folder /new/folder .. I just get .ncdata file missing in folder, but it's not.. I did cp - a /old/folder /new/folder

I ended up mounting the drive to the nextcloud data folder itself.. seems to be working fine.
