• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

No external website access

I have just installed Plesk 8.1 for Windows on a windows 2003 server.

I have everything seemingly setup however I cannot reach my websites from the internet - only on the local machine.

It comes up with a

Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)

error. I can view the site on the local machine, the nameserver resolves, I can ping the website address from the internet - just no go.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. the website (i'm testing with) is
http://www.rogerstrailers.com.au

also,

the server is not on my own network. I remote desktop to it.

The one server does everything - DNS, IIS and mail.

It has static IP.

It has an internal and external ip address - all DNS related setting are pointing to the external one.

What I have just realised is that that error is the one generated by Firefox.

The error is a HTTP 400 - Bad Request
