Hello,

we have a new VServer from Strato with Plesk installed, since some days. Unfortunately, Plesk does not send any emails (creating a new customer, updates, quota, etc.).

I have made all the settings 100% the same, as with another, Plesk VServer from Strato (on which everything works correctly). All notification settings are set correctly.

I also restarted the server several times, unfortunately without success. According to Strato support also works the mailserver-service correctly and without errors.

Ideas or suggestions for troubleshooting?

Yes, give us more information!
  • Plesk version
  • OS version
  • Mail software used (SMTP, is it Qmail or Postfix? POP/IMAP, is it Dovecot or Courier?)
  • To which domain are you trying to deliver? Change something if you don't want to disclose the real domain...
  • Is it local or remote?
  • What are the MX records for that domain?
  • Does any of the domain hosted on your Plesk installation "overlap" with the destination domain for the email?
  • Excerpts from the SMTP log files
The above is, I think, the minimum anybody would need to try helping you (not having a crystal ball...)
 
P.S.: The above is all explained in a much better way in this thread (The thread is posted in the Plesk 12.x for Linux section of the forum but perfectly apply to Plesk Onyx too...)

Thanks for your fast reply.

I most likely found the problem: It's not the problem that Plesk does not send emails, the mails just do not arrive at my mail provider.

If I enter a gmx address as Admin in Plesk, I get the emails without any problems. According to blacklist searches, the IP of my new server is on a blacklist, so they probably will not be delivered to my mail provider.
