One IP address; Default Plesk; Complete beginner

Hi,

I have one IP address from my host.

I have a dedicated server with default Plesk.

I have 3-4 domains I would like to host from my server.

When I create the first domain w/ physical hosting, I can FTP files to the newly created directory and have it accessible via the IP address.

My question is now what? What nameservers should I have the current live site / domain (being hosted by Pair) start pointing to?

Because on Plesk, by default, NS.mydomainname.com is created.

Should I create another NS entry called NS1.mydomainname.com?

Thanks.

Ok. Slowly figuring things out.

I guess I need to create NS1 and NS2 entries under Plesk, then go to my registrar and create new Private Name Servers.

I guess I'm wondering, should I do this for each additional 'virtual domain' that will share this IP as well?

Do I create a Private Name Server for each additional domain I host, or have them all just point to my 'main' Private Name Servers?

To proprly run a nameserver you need 2 distinct IPs. I'd order a second IP and put at least one domain under that IP. Then you nameservers will look like

ns.domain1.com
ns.domain2.com

Thanks.

Do I need to create 2 private name servers using the same IP addresses each additional domain I create in PLESK?

In other words...

ns1.firstdomain.com
ns2.firstdomain.om

Then...

ns1.seconddomain.com
ns2.seconddomain.com

Kind of confused again.
