• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi,

How is it possible to open port 43 as to do whois requests.
I try to modify firewall in plesk, but have always errors.

I have 2 firewall in my plesk manager :
- one under module
- one under virtuozzo

I can modify the virtuozzo firewall (but no effect, always fsockopen error on port 43)

I try to modify module firewall and I have this message :
Erreur: Impossible d'activer la configuration du Firewall:

safeact: safeact: /usr/local/psa/var/modules/firewall/firewall-new.sh failed:
iptables: Unknown error 4294967295

proc_close() failed: mktime() [<a href='function.mktime'>function.mktime</a>]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. Please use the date.timezone setting, the TZ environment variable or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'Europe/Berlin' for 'CET/1.0/no DST' instead

Ok, my host company open the port, I can't do it on a private server

Generally, if you have virtual server based on virtuozzo, firewall settings are setup with help of:

http://kb.swsoft.com/en/746

moreover, port in this case you need to contact your provider in order to open the port on hosting server.

hope now all is fine.

Did you solve the issue?
