permission explained

Can someone explain to me how the permissions in plesk work? I have folders chmodded 755 owned by username:psacln and i can't seem to delete them through the file manager. It really pisses me off...

i use the username to login to the ftp AND the control panel so this really is getting me confused. Any ideas?

psacln is internal Plesk group that contains FTP users. The psacln is added to the /etc/ftpchroot file. For every FTP user logged into the Panel, a chroot procedure is executed, which will not let the user see files owned by other users.
So, it is bad idea to delete directories where psacln is owner.
