  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Permissions being reverted on clean 7.61 install

After struggling with a ton of issues after an upgrade from 7.56 to 7.61 I bit the bullet and installed 7.61 on a brand new server. This resolved the majority of issues (although I still manually had to set permissions on a number of 3rd party apps of course) and I thought I was in the clear.

However, the issue I'm running into now is that from time to time the IIS_USRxxxxx account directory/file permissions on domains are being modified by Plesk to a default permission level. This breaks multiple client websites who depend on having directories with loose security permissions (upload directories for example).

We're now taking daily helpdesk calls with irate clients who are continually calling with the same problem that we've previously had to fix and asking *why* this keeps occuring. Frankly, we don't know what to tell them as we don't know how to keep it from happening!

a) does anyone know why/when this is occuring in the Plesk processes?
b) does anyone know how to make it stop?!

Thanks in advance for any help.

In desperation,

-matt

Exact same problem here and it's driving us nuts tryin to track it down as our clients are getting really fed up over this.

If only swsoft actually had support :(

could someone please update this...WAS there a solution for this as we too now face the exact same issues?
