PHP 5.6

Are you sure that all latest microupdates were installed on your Plesk server?

This is my plesk version as reported by the control panel:
Plesk version 12.0.18 Update #53, last updated at July 3, 2015 03:20 AM

You need to install PHP 5.6. To do this, log into your control panel, click on Server, click on Updates and Upgrades. Click on Add/Remove Components, click on the plus next to Plesk hosting features and click on the red x next to PHP 5.6 script engine and click install to select it. Once you select it, click Continue to get it installed. Once installed you will then be able to select PHP 5.6 from your hosting setting for the site you want to use 5.6 on.

I've set the php5.5 and php5.6 to install, it's been doing something for the last hour and I'm afraid to click the "cancel modifying" link to the right of the "continue" button. How long should this thing take to install?

You have to click "continue" in order for the installation to even start.

Once you click continue, you'll see a box with a progress report of what's happening.

Thanks scsa20, it eventually timed out. I closed the window and then tried again directly on the server which then threw out a warning about the server needing to be restarted. We scheduled a restart for during the night and this morning I'm able to install it (doing it on the server for safety sake).

Appreciate the assist
