I think they should also update the loaders on the older PHP versions, to enable them to decode files encoded with v12 as well.

By the way, there is no ionCube loader for PHP 8.0; they decided to skip the PHP 8.0 release:

If I am not mistaken IonCube for PHP 8.1 got added to Plesk version 18.0.49, which was just released. From the 18.0.49 change log:

You can now install ionCube PHP Loader for PHP 8.1 and later using PHP extensions installer.
