  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Php sessions folder permissions issue after update - var/lib/php/sessions permissions

Xavier12

Regular Pleskian
Hey guys,

It seems that every time we update/upgrade the system, the permissions for var/lib/php/sessions folder needs to be set to 777 in order for php to operate properly. We use nginx 99% of the time. Enabling the folder to 777 does not sound secure, what is the best way to resolve this in order to not constantly have to manually update the permissions each time? We are using Cloudlinux on CentOS

Please advise, thank you.

Several Plesk microupdates bring up newer PHP version, that reset permissions on "/var/lib/php/session" and sometimes microupdate script doesn't set it back. As far as I know this behavior has been fixed in one of latest microupdate.
