• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

PHP Tidy

TobyP

New Pleskian
Hi

I have a question about installing / enabling php tidy on my webserver. I recently switched from a shared hosting to dedicated server with 1&1, so I have a learning curve. I need php tidy enabled for one of my website components to function correctly. I have read on the php site that php tidy is included with all php 5 installs ?

I am running php 5.1.6 (so can assume that php tidy was inclkuded in the install ?)

Here are the details of my webserver:

Parallels Plesk Panel version 9.5.2
Operating system Linux 2.6.18-164.11.1.el5
CPU AuthenticAMD, Six-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 2423 HE

At this stage I wouldn't know whether php tidy was installed, running or not. Other than an error, commonly attributed to php tidy not running, that has cropped up on my site is a clue.

Any info on how to check if it's installed and whether it's enabled - and, of course, if not - how to install and enable (pref. without a re-install of php) would be GREATLY APPRECIATED !
