Plesk 11.0.9 too slow after upgrade

technick

New Pleskian
Hello ,

after plesk updated to 11.0.9 version my server is very slow . Load average has increased a lot and also the panel is too slow . Some domains point at default page but this has been fixed after httpdmng --reconfigure-all and with several restarts of apache and nginx .

Also this server hosts a site with large traffic and for this reason we have fully optimized nginx and apache . Everything was working fine since the update . Any suggestions ..?? Below I paste a screen from top ..

When in TOP, please press "Shift-M" that should sort by the process eating much RAM.

Had you restarted your server after the upgrade? Usually this helps a-lot ...Otherwise, give me the TOP results with a SHIFT-M

This is what top with shift m shows ..

No MySQL is just OK. You can always monitor what queries are being processed through mytop. However from what I see you seem to have a lot of traffic on your server. (if not you are under a DOS attack). May I suggest the following:

1. Optimize Apache (at least with the following basics)

Code:
vim /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

and set the following
Code:
KeepAlive On
KeepAliveTimeout 2

2. Optimize MySQL (atleast with the following basics)
Code:
vim /etc/my.cnf
and change to the following
Code:
wait_timeout=50
connect_timeout=50
More here: http://www.debianhelp.co.uk/mysqlperformance.htm

Depending, you can bring that value lower ...

3. Please install and enable Nginx, it will help really reduce on the Apache LOAD and increase the efficiency of your server.

Thank you for your reply , I have already tuned mysql , apache and nginx ... I believe that the problem relies on mysql .. anyway I formatted the server and I made a restore ..
