Hi

i installed Plesk 11 on an fresh CentOS 6.2 installation with the one click installer but panel is not loading.
ok, i re-installed CentOS 6.2 and installed Plesk 11 with the autoinstaller, same problem:

Congratulations!
Plesk has been successfully installed on your server.
To complete the system configuration, please proceed to URL:
https://localhost.localdomain:8443/ or
https://111.222.33.444:8443/
Use the login name 'admin' and password '<YOUR ADMIN PASSWORD>'.
Or use the login name 'root' and your superuser password.

Further, use the following commands to start and stop Plesk:
"/etc/init.d/psa start" and
"/etc/init.d/psa stop" respectively.

All Plesk control panel documentation is available at
http://www.parallels.com/en/products/plesk/docs

Thank you for choosing our products!

/etc/init.d/psa start
Starting xinetd service... done
Starting mysqld service... done
Starting named service... done
Starting postgresql service... not installed
Starting psa-spamassassin service... not installed
Plesk: Starting Mail Server... already started
Starting psa... done
Starting drwebd service... failed

but if i try to open the plesk panel in a browser, i get a timeout?
httpd is running, but i can`t see the default page...

i try to disable selinux, same problem.

any idea?

thanks...

strange, thank you, thats it!

firewall is running, after disabling the panel appears.

Ok, never had this issue in the last years...

i disabled iptables for now.

is there anything that i have to do ? or just set up plesk in my browser?

I don't know about disabling it. I just add a rule to allow 8443.

-A INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 8443 -j ACCEPT

Once you login to the browser, go to your extensions under server management and activate your firewall rules. (if you have the component installed)

Using Plesk 11 will not function properly with centos 6.2 and will fail all the way along
Centos 6.3 with 11

CentOS 6.3 is not supported by Plesk yet. Read Release Notes.

Originally 6.2 was installed, but somewhere along the way we've been yum'd up to 6.3. Plesk seems to be running the same as before. Can you tell me of any problems people have experienced?

Thank you

We expect support of CentOS 6.3 for Plesk 11 on this week or next week.

I just installed a clean vps with Plesk 11... same problem, after installing I can't reach the control panel.

Disabling iptables does the trick... but that doesn't seem right. How do I proceed?

I just reinstalled the plesk firewall component, logged in and restarted: service psa-firewall restart after I enabled the firewall... how hard can it be to get your software running on a a COMPLETELY CLEAN, FRESHLY INSTALLED server.

Earlier I followed the exact same procedure on a Centos 6.2 box and that worked fine... I wonder if Parallels does this **** just to annoy me?

Anyway, thanks for wasting an entire evening of my life!
