• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Plesk 12.5.30 with .NET Core 2.0

FabioDias

New Pleskian
I want to run .NET Core in websites under Plesk 12.5.30. There could be some kind of problem if I install manually .NET Core 2.0 using it's own installer Windows? The OS is Windows Server 2012 R2.

Thank you in advance.

Officially ASP.NET Core 2.0 supported only in Plesk Onyx 17.8 Preview 6 and later.
So, you can try to use it with Plesk 12.5 version on your own risk.

Unfortunately my host doesn't offer Onyx yet and Plesk 12x is the latest version I have. So there is any kind of problem if I install Windows Server Hosting (.exe) (version v2.0.3) in the server? I'm afraid to break some Plesk functionality on doing so.

Thank you in advance.

If you are afraid, then you better do not do it. Or create a full backup of the server before your experiments.
