• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Plesk 12.5 preview feedback thread

I have a CloudLinux 7 server that I want to install Plesk on. If I install 12.5 Preview and setup a few sites for testing, then can that be upgraded/switched to production with a genuine license key when it is released?
Or will it be a wipe and reinstall?

Look forward to your response.
Preview is only for testing. For production we recommend fresh installation of officially released version.

Since last Update:

OS ‪Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS‬

Hi RationalPolymer,

you can check, if the needed files are available:
Hi dotCOM host,

please define, WHICH version of ImageMagic you are going to install ( complete version description please ) and from wihich repo.

libMagickCore.so.2 included:
Code:
# rpm -qpl ImageMagick-6.5.4.7-7.el6_5.x86_64.rpm|grep libMagickCore.so.2
/usr/lib64/libMagickCore.so.2
/usr/lib64/libMagickCore.so.2.0.0

NO (!) libMagickCore.so.2 included:
Code:
# rpm -qpl ImageMagick-6.7.2.7-2.el6.x86_64.rpm |grep libMagickCore.so.2

Please, RationalPolymer, be so kind to read the complete mentioned thread and the provided solutions ( as well from the mentioned KB - article! ).

Hi. I tried updating plesk this evening from the autoinstaller command, but I received the following message:

Installation will not continue because your operating system
"'CentOS' 'Linux' '6.7' 'x86_64'" is not supported.

Plesk v 12.1.25

Is there a way to modify one of the check files to include Centos 6.7?

thanks!

Hi VinnyT,

No. If Odin decides not to support an OS, there are plenty of reasons which do not have to be documented or answered at all - it is their choice! Please consider down- or upgrading to another CentOS version, or try to make a complete backup, to migrate Plesk on another OS.

Hello, I just updated the Plesk to # 12.5.29 and I got the following error:

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND

5575 root 20 0 1205920 34600 34348 S 100.0 1.6 9:16.66 rsyslogd

The RSYSLOGD process consume 100% CPU all the time!!!!

Please help!!!

Technical data:
It is a Virtuozzo HN running Parallels Cloud Server 6.0.9-2845 and the container is the standard centos-7-x86_64 template:
CT-412-bash-4.2# uname -a

As per http://download1.parallels.com/Ples...12.5-for-linux-installation-upgrade-info.html
Plesk 12.5 should be compatible with CloudLinux 7.1

However:

# /root/plesk-installer --show-all-releases
You have Plesk v 12.5.28 installed.
ERROR: Unable to run Parallels Installer. Possible reasons:
1) You are trying to run Parallels Installer on an unsupported OS. Your OS is CloudLinux-7. The list of supported OS is at http://www.parallels.com/products/plesk/requirements/

It's only possible to install Plesk 12.5 on CentOS 7.1 and then, after installatiion, convert CentOS 7.1 to CloudLinux 7.1
Please update installer to also support CloudLinux 7.1
