Resolved Plesk Admin 12.5 super slow

yabado

Regular Pleskian
I have noticed over the past several weeks that my Plesk Admin Panel is super slow. It takes 20-40 seconds for each page to load. There is no load on the server and all the virtual hosts on the same machine load as normal.

Where can I look to see what is causing the panel to be so slow?

Do you have Linux or Windows Plesk? Have you tried to use KB search? AFAIR there are many 'slow Plesk' related articles. Start with this, at least.

I am on Linux, would never use Windows for anything serious.

I found several articles on slow Winblows panels, but none for Linux.

I will look again and see if I can find some directed at Linux.

I am starting to think it is due to Sidekick extension hanging on each page, preventing the page from loading fully until the sidekick requests time out.

I cannot deactivate or uninstall the extension .

The error I get is this, how do I force uninstall this thing?

Code:
Error occured while sending feedback. HTTP code returned: 502
Executing /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/modules/sidekick/scripts/pre-uninstall.php failed: UNINSTALL SIDEKICK

OK, it was Sidekick extension causing the issues.

I removed the sidekick scheduled task, then deleted the sidekick extension folder from /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/modules

After I did this, all panel pages started loading immediately. Yea!
