  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk and Non-Plesk Managed Apache Tomcat

I have a Tomcat installation which is managed independently of Plesk.

I am trying to set up the isapi_redirect filter to forward Java requests from IIS to Tomcat.

Neither I nor the admins at my VPS hosting provider can get this to work on a Plesk managed server. We have both been able to get it to work on a non-Plesk managed server and I wonder if anyone can shed any light on this. The admins at my VPS provider have spent considerable time on this without any success.

Is it possible to get this working without going down the route of having to install the Plesk Power Pack?

Thanks.

Same problem here. We could not configure Java applications to work on our Plesk machine. Java applications were available using port :8080 but not without this port. We have now stopped providing Java hosting.
