• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk AntiVirus included?

When I view my license there's the line "AntiVirus: YES". Does that mean I can install the Plesk AntiVirus module for free? Or what does this mean?

Does anybody know whether I can install the antivirus module and whether it will work?

In my German version the text in the license says "Antivirenschutz-Verwaltung - An". I would translate this to "Anti-virus protection administration - On".

Hi, this line itself doesn't necessarily mean the Plesk Antivirus will be enabled (this line remained from time when it was licensed differently). Plesk Antivirus has its own license shipped as so-called Additional Key. However in most cases this line and Plesk Antivirus would be enabled together. You can either try Plesk Antivirus and see (1), or contact your sales representative (2) or in case you purchased from Parallels directly, drop your key ID as a private message to me and I will check it for you (3).

I don't want to install the product if I'm not sure whether I have the license. In my experience I cannot uninstall any package of Plesk after installing it.

I tried to use the support form on the Parallels website, but it says I'm not having a support contract. I pay 5 Euros per month to my server provider for renting my Plesk license, so I think I don't have any additional features with my license.

By the way: I now switched to English language and the entry in the license says "Antivirus management On".

Got an answer from my provider: There is no anti-virus license in my Plesk license. They say the entry is a relict of older versions of Plesk.

So my question is answered.

Thanks!
