Plesk Backup Too Slow

Hi,

We make full plesk backups using Plesk Backup Utility every day and since we upgraded Plesk to 7.6.1 we are experiencing too slow backups that never ends.

Anyone knows this issue and how to solve it?

We've noticed that our backups have become very slow, but they do eventually complete.

One server with only about 250 domains is now taking 14 hours to run the Plesk backup. The backup file size is about 4Gb.

This means that we will only be able to put about another 150 domains on that server as by that time the backups will be be taking 24 hours to run.

It sort of makes an "unlimited domain" Plesk licence meaningless if you want to perform daily backups.

Having exactly the same problem.

My backup size is about 5GB with 200 domains and it takes about 6 hours to complete.

Hi,

Here about 24 minutes for about 3,9Gb backup (for only 60 domains).

What is causing the backup to take such a long time? Did you review the log file?
