• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

I'm trying to create a mail user with a redirect using the following:

./mail.sh -c [email protected] -cp_access true -redirect true -rediraddr [email protected]

but i get the following error:

mailmng: Command line argument number 4 contains unprintable characters
An error occured during mailname creation: Can't set redirect to "aaa@bbbbbb/": mailmng failed: mailmng: Command line argument number 4 contains unprintable characters

I'm sure its an easy fix, but not sure what it may be?

Try putting double quotes around the values:

./mail.sh -c "[email protected]" -cp_access "true" -redirect "true" -rediraddr "[email protected]"

I believe the docs and examples show this (maybe not for the mail.sh, but look at some of the other CLI examples, such as client or domain management)
Creating a domain:
./domain.sh --create "domain.zone" -clogin "client1" -ip "192.168.1.1"

Setting up hosting:
./domain.sh --update "domain.zone" -hosting true -hst_type phys -login "domain_zone" -passwd "password"

Changing domain limits:
./domain_pref.sh --update "domain.zone" -disk_space 10

Removing a domain:
./domain.sh --remove "domain.zone"
