  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Plesk (client) backup FTP repository can't read files

Hi!

I've been using the backup function of Plesk for a while now without any problems. I do a weekly scheduled client backup to a remote FTP server. This works OK. But now when I try to access the backup ustility in Plesk (client --> backup) I see that Plesk is checking the remote repository for backup files, but then Plesk hangs. It seems Plesk can not read the files on my FTP server. Since the backup does write to the same FTP server this seems strange. When I empy the FTP remote directory Plesk opens the backup utility OK. I can also make changes to the scheduled backup. But when there is a file in the remote ftp directory Plesk hangs while trying to read the files.

Any ideas why this happens and how to solve this?

Hi,

No sulution found yet. What I do is use a tool to move the backups form the ftp remote directory to anaother directory on my FTP server. This way the remote dir is always empty and I can access the remote settings in Plesk. If you find another solution, please let me know...

Well the biggest problem is that it is not possible to enter the backup settings altogether, I can not even set up any backups, locally or ftp. I have two new servers with this bug and no Plesk backup functionality and support has never gotten back to me.

I had no backups set up yet, no ftp repo specified yet, no backup files existing.

When I go to any domain, and then click on Backups, the page is empty.

This is in the psa error log at the time:
