• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Plesk Control Panel shows empty page after 8.1 upgrade

New Pleskian
I upgraded my Plesk 8.0 to 8.1 and when I tried to open the admin control panel via the 8443 port (i.e. https://myhost:8443/) it redirected to login.php3 and showed an empty page.

I enabled PHP error reporting as described in your Knowledge Base and I got the following error:

Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/locales/en-US/messages_en-US.php on line 7862

Thank you in advance your help.

Ok, I've found the problem, it was a PHP bug in that file - messages_en-US.php. I can't believe you released this package without even testing whether it works with PHP 4+ or not.

The problem is that starting from PHP 4 (I believe) you can't merge arrays using +. What I see in that file is a an attempt to use += on an array. I fixed that and it worked. In fact it turned out that $lmsg_arr is not defined elsewhere so you can just use assignment instead of +=.
