Plesk domain prevents sending email

I've just setup a new VPS which is currently using Plesk 8.3

My mail is hosted elsewhere, using seperate mailservers.

Any of the domains that I register within Plesk prevent the server from sending emails to that address either through the plesk control panel or from scripts run from the server.

This means that even Plesk Messages (such as creation of new domains and clients) do not get through, despite no errors being shown on screen

Example:

registereddomain.com is setup in plesk, but uses external mail servers, neither plesk nor scripts on the VPS server can send emails to addresses to this domain

anotherdomain.com is not setup in plesk, and has mail hosted externally, email to addresses at anotherdomain.com can be sent from the VPS server

is the email function in plesk switched of for this domain ?

domains -> registereddomain.com -> email

Thanks

wow, thanks, i've been beating my head against a wall with that.

so wierd it's not occurred on our other vps'
