  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Plesk file manager freezes when uploading a file

Hello,

I'm facing a very frustrating situation with Plesk file manager. Each time I try to upload a file (that is not that big ~45Mb) the progression bar freezes at 86-87%.
The whole behavior is quite weird as the progression bar starts at 73% then goes slowly until 86-87% and then nothing.
I've tried a couple of times on different domains with different connections and the problem remains the same.

I cannot actually use an FTP software so does anyone have an idea on that?

Thanks in advance.

Did you look at the error logs to see if there any errors in there related to the upload?
  • /var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log
  • /var/log/sw-cp-server/sw-engine.log
  • /var/log/plesk/panel.log
  • /var/log/plesk-php83-fpm/error.log
Is it only on a specific file? Or all files?
(You can download large test files here, and try to upload these.)

Hello @Kaspar and sorry for the late answer.

I was so frustrated that I just gave up on the File Manager solution so I managed to use an FTP software and that solved my problem.

By the way I checked the logs but unfortunately I couldn't find anything.

It was a single zip file.
In my opinion the file size had something to do with it as I made a last attempt by sending small chunks of the file of around 1~5 Mb and it worked nicely.

I still don't know why is this a problem.

Thank you for your help.
