hi,

the plesk "file server" module's docs are a bit spare about the general purpose of the module. so, do i get kind of a functionality that allows me to give my clients a way to access their files via windows "network neighbourhood" without big hassle or is it just a samba frontend and nothing more? to put it another way: is there any integration into the domain user/ftp user accounts?

I've only taken a brief look at it, it is a front-end for the normal Samba server and does not appear to have any special integration into the Plesk user database.

However, I have only taken a small look at it and it's online help screens also do not show anything about Plesk user integration.

that's my impression too - so it looks like a waste of time to install it..

Yeah, this is a big waste of time.... nothing beneficial comes from this at ALL...
