• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk messages stuck in spool directory or bounce back

I think I "broke" qmail for my VPS. my inodes had approached 1,000,000 files after searching folder after folder I found over 900,000 files in /usr/local/psa/handlers/spool

i deleted every file using SSH

unfortunately that messed up qmail. almost everything sent is bounced back. a few spam messages get through

i did find I could create a new email account and messages to it work fine. however if I delete an existing account and rebuild messages still bounce back.

any direction on what to do would be tremendously appreciated. i would prefer not to uninstall/reinstall qmail if other solutions are possible.

i have successfully run qmailclean.sh and qmailclear.sh but things still don't work.
