  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

TITLE:
plesk repair: drweb restore error
PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE:
Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS‬
Plesk Onyx, Version 17.8.11 Update #48
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Today I had to try to repair a system with using the command "plesk repair installation". This commands runs through quite a few activities.

Besides quite a few package warnings (see The "plesk repair installation" utility shows warnings on Ubuntu: "failed to get permissions for package diverts others to" OR "Skip fixing") the mail part seems to fail.

In more detail the section Reconfiguring mail subsystem... fails and the logfile shows the result below, indicating that restoring drweb fails.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
run either
Code:
# plesk repair installation

or
Code:
# plesk sbin mchk

or
Code:
# /usr/lib/plesk-9.0/mail_drweb_restore
ACTUAL RESULT:

/usr/lib/plesk-9.0/mail_drweb_restore
EXPECTED RESULT:
Provide a helpful reason why mail_drweb_restore fails and/or repair this.
ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
YOUR EXPECTATIONS FROM PLESK SERVICE TEAM:
Help with sorting out

Update: this problem is related to Premium Antivirus service fails to start: Plesk authorization failed: HTTP request error: In certain cases, "plesk repair installation" seems to remove TLSv1 from the sw-cp-server configuration. If you then re-run "plesk repair installation", the DrWeb part fails when using DrWeb with < 10 mail addresses without a separate license. Since my first run failed due to a different issue, I found this issue... When changing the DrWeb issue as explained in the attached article, the repair command succeeds. Thus, finally it would be time to require the DrWeb update!

Side note: "plesk repair installation" also does annoying changes to /etc/postfix/main.cf: existing smtp_bind_address[6] lines receive comments and new lines with just the same values are added instead.
