• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk server backup broken since 10.4.4

MarcoJ

New Pleskian
Dear all,

doing a regulary check of my server i've noticed that my nightly updates to the FTP backup were not working, probably since the update to 10.4.4.

Update of some single domains to the disk repository are OK, but the "main update" (server contents and settings) does not work anymore.

It makes no difference if this is cron triggered or manually, also the target is the server repository or the personal FTP repo.

Any backup gaves this error code, except for the last 2 nights (going to MU#7!):

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

The last 2 nights with MU#7 it just gives me the error message "Error: Unknown object type" and no detailed output like before.

Any fix is highly appreciated! I'm running on RAID, but without a backup of another array i'm quite nervous ...

This problem under developer's investigation now. I hope it will be fixed soon.

Thanks, Igor! I'll wait for MU or workaround.

One more hint: The backup is running quite a long time, with progress bar and all you normally know. GZIP process is shown active, so everything seems running well until it fails somehow "on the very last meters".
