• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue Plesk version show wrong OS version

decanet

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

After a dist-ugprade, the command "plesk version" still show the old OS version:

# plesk version
Product version: Plesk Obsidian 18.0.21.5
OS version: Debian 8 x86_64
Build date: 2019/12/19 20:00
Revision: 7676707ea8bdfcbc3ea3e93ae82e5a1251fab356

In the Plesk panel, I can see :
OS ‪Debian 9.0‬

Currently, I can't install anything with plesk installer without adding "--override-os-version 9.0". How can I update the "plesk version" detected OS version ?

Thanks

Hello,

This behavior highly likely means that dist-upgrade doesn't fully completed.
