• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Plesk with FreeBSD 6.1 64-bit

Hi

I've tried getting help on this with the support, but they are rather slow to answer so there might be a faster respond here.

I'm trying to install Plesk 8.0.1 on FreeBSD 6.1 64-bit. I do have lib32 installed, and I've tried to hack the install script so it doesn't quit when it detects are wrong version.

The auto-installer just gives me this response:
"No suitable releases for your system is found on the server"

I then downloaded the 444 MB package, and it didn't want to install either. I hacked it as much as I could so version didn't matter, and so it didn't check checksum either. Got this response:

Unable to find product configuration file: /etc/psa/psa.conf

So, it's time to unpack distribution files
All files will be extracted into /usr/local/psa directory
This operation takes some time,
please, wait...

Is there another way to get this done? It's a Sun Fire X2100 server. Is it easier to just give up on FreeBSD 6.1 and install another 64-bit OS that plesk does support (though I really would like to get plesk running with FreeBSD)?

Well, not much help, I've to some way trick the plesk installer, and make uname give another version number instead. I'm trying to figure out how, but I'm very close to give up on FreeBSD 6.1 and get Suse instead.

Too bad Plesk doesn't support 64-bit FreeBSD 6.1... :(

as soon as plesk 8.1 comes out, it will have support for freebsd6.1 ...

freebsd is better for 64-bit architecture, in my opinion. its worth going back once it is supported. or you could always use freebsd 6.0
