HI All,

Postfix just died the other day, couldn't start it, errors were not clear so checked and figured id switched to courier.

This happened on two completely unrelated plesk servers i Manage also, so strange.

Anyway, so far mostly so good. Some IMAP customers mailboxes have duplicated, some people couldnt log in and I needed to change some ports and stuff about on some client configurations, but apart from that it seems mostly OK.

One thing that is puzzling me though, is when I go to generate SSLs now via plesk, I no longer have the option to create one for the mail stuff? See the attached screenshots.

It seems to have happened since I switched from postfix to courier.

If I go into the mail settings for each domain I can set the SSL to LetsEncrypt for webmail though.

IO have had one customer say that hes getting a certificate error popping up since we have switched you see, so I am wondering if this is related?

Thanks for your help in advance

@dijitul, what problems did you have with Postfix that are solved by using Courier? Courier is actually an alternative for Dovecot (handeling mail storage and IMAP and POP3 connections), not a replacement for Postfix.

If you issues where Dovecot related (rather than actually Postfix related), chances are that if delete any remaining files in the /etc/dovecot/conf.d/ directory and switch back to Dovecot from Courier, that any issue's you where having are gone. No guarantee tho.
