pre9-backup-convert wont recognise backup?

I have a backup files from an 8x version of plesk. It is a multipart file split into 1gb files. That's just the way i configured plesk to back them up.

I tried using pre9-backup-convert on the first of the files but it throws an error:
Runtime error: ('Top level is not multipart/related', 'text/plain')

My files are like so:

backup.001
backup.002
backup.003
backup.004

Does anyone know how to get these files restoreD?

You can just compile these file to one backup file with usual

cat backup.001 backup.002 backup.003 backup.004 > backup
