  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello,

I'm posting this message because I have a problem creating my wordpress site.

the site is well created in the plesk interface but it is inaccessible.

I see on the site management page that there's a DNS problem.

I just don't understand how to configure it so that the site is accessible.

I've tried to put the dns provided on the plesk interface on the platform that manages my domain name (OVH) but nothing works.

If someone could help me and explain why this doesn't work.

Thanks in advance

Please check which DNS servers are registered in your domain name as the authoritative servers for name resolution of the domain. Are these records naming your Plesk server? Or are they referring to OVH DNS servers? This is where you need to create the name server entries for the domain (A record, MX record etc.).

Is Bind running on your machine (it's probably installed, but is the service running)? Are the ports open that allow nameserver queries (53/UDP 53/TCP 853/TCP)? These could be blocked on your machine, but they could also be blocked in the OVH firewall.
