• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question Problems adding existing db on db-server to plesk

ThorstenL

New Pleskian
Hello everyone, is it possible to integrate an existing database into Plesk so that it can be managed in Plesk via phpmyadmin. The external database server is set up. If you create a new database via Plesk, it will be created on the external database server. But now I have an existing database on the database server and I cannot add this database to Plesk.

System:

Plesk Obsidian Web Pro Edition
Version 18.0.64

Database server: MariaDB

In order to manage a database trough Plesk, the database needs to be create via Plesk. So if you already created an database running on the database server before you added the database server to Plesk you need to delete and re-create the database via Plesk.

EDIT: I stand corrected. See post From Marin with solution to register an existing database in Plesk below.
