Problems with recieving mail

Hello

I run a Magento store and have some problems with mail.

First some info about my VPS:
OS: Linux 2.6.32-042 stab062.2
Panel version: 10.4.4

Whenever Magento tries to send out mails to an emails with same domain as the store (example: recipient is [email protected] and my store is at domain.com) no mails get recieved?

As far as i can see the system sends out mail correctly and it works fine with lets say Gmail and Hotmail etc. Just not when the recieving mail have same domain as sender?

I have read somewhere, that this is a problem with the server and virtual mailboxes? Anybody able to help me out?

I have my email on other server but subdomains of same domain as email created on this server. This can be a problem?
