• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Problems with webmail

Hello

I have just installed Plesk 6.5.2 for Windows on a Windows 2003 standard edition server. It looks like everything is working fine but webmail! ?

If I try to connect to: http://webmail.xxx.com in a web browser i'm prompted for username and password. Here I write [email protected] in the username field and the password in the password field and press OK. But i'm not allowed in, i'm prompted again for username and password!!

POP3 and SMTP with Outlook or Outlook Express is working fine with the username and password, what is the problem??

Please help :)

To be honest, I think it's a bit of a dumb way of doing it, telling clients they must use the full login for POP3 and must only use the prefix for the Webmail but I know this is the only way it will work on our machines. Not sure what could be causing your login error.

You are running version 6.5 for windows??

It stills says that the username and password is incorrect!

I type hch in the username and the password in the password field...

Yes I can confirm on 6.5.2 for windows to login to horde requires the prefix only IE info while POP3 Mailenable requires [email protected], I'm not sure why yours isn't working, it sounds like the formatting is correct,.
