• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Propper ssd / hdd setup - permission problems with sym link

onlinesolutions

Basic Pleskian
Hi there,

we are running CentOS Linux 7.2.1511 with Plesk 12.5

The server has a an ssd drive and an hdd drive. The hdd drive is mapped to /data whereas the web directories are located in /var/www/vhosts/domain.com and they are served by the ssd drive.

We want to place images and other large static files into the /data file location that is being served by the hdd drive. We also want that the files located on the hdd drive will be backed up by the backup service.

Unfortunately symbolic links from a folder in the web root to a folder under /data aren`t working as the permission is restricted to the webdirecty only, despite the fact that open-basedir includes the /data folder.

Does anyone have an idea?

BR
