    Hello,

in a subdomain how can I protect a directory?

Like, I have a webuser USER (with some PASSWORD) and I want the server to allow only this USER to open files under
    subdomain.limcore.com/protected/

How can I do this? In Plesk 8.0 or 8.1

(From which version such thing is available?)

    Thanks

    Hello,

You could use .htaccess and generate the necessary user/pass with htpasswd

What exacly .htaccess should I use?

About the passwords, how to do it - any more details?

I am not the admin of this serwer (like - I have only plesk access, not direct access to things like /srv/www/passwords/ or something)
