  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Input PSA: Plesk 18.0.36 should be avoided on CENTOS / Debian / ubuntu .

New Pleskian
Dear all,

hope you are all ok and rested. I just realised that plesk-task-manager started using systemd since the last release 18.0.36 .

But based on System services fail to start on a Plesk server: Failed to activate service 'org.freedesktop.systemd1': timed out , dbus have unpatched (buggy) version and most of CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu-based distributions the bug fix is yet to be implemented .

So if you HAVENT patched dbus version avoid updating to 18.0.36 at any cost, as the only solution is to reboot daily your server like a cheap PC.

If anyone was able to overcome this issue please let us know

Best regards

Hmm, I can't confirm this issue. We have over a dozen servers with Plesk 18.0.36 on CentOS 7 (fully patched) and have not experienced any issues so far.

+1 for @Monty We have no issues with Plesk 18.0.36 / Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS
We're using 'D-Bus Message Bus Daemon 1.12.16' and double checking via # journalctl -u dbus provides no concerns, errors or warnings.
