• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
    If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

When I publish a sitebuilder site in the amin panel,

it says it published successfuly, however, the site was not copied to the correct ftp destination set in the account.

in the 'Allowed Hosts Management'

I set

status to active
host name = ip address
(owner = root)

in 'Site Management'

i set

status = active
publish = allowed
plan = regular
alias = www.sitename.com

in the publish properties i set

Allow publishing = yes
Site URL address = www.sitenamecom
Target os = Unix
Mode = FTP
FTP host = allowed host (see above)
FTP login = username of ftp account
FTP password = password
FTP working directory ./home/user/public_html

--------------------------

Having done all that I click the publish icon in the site management, it says it did it successfully. But then when I go to the folder where it should be published to it is not there?

Any ideas.

Please and thanks.

I think the information you need in your FTP working directory should read /public_html/

Good luck.

That is true thank you,

And also, I changed the alias to match the url, when in fact the alias should be the name given in the trial site. Other wise, it loses the reference for which site to publish.

ie

alias = example

(example.sitebuilder.mysite.com

and is published to

www.mysite.com

So thankfully everything works now.

Cheers and hope that helps someone else also configuring this area.

Regards.
