  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Python in Plesk

M1K0R

New Pleskian
I want to enable Python for my website, but it always tells me that it's in conflict with the server-wide policies.
I heard that it was disabled in Plesk 12.5. Is there a way to activate it anyway or to install it somehow different?

My system is running Debian 9.6 and Plesk Onyx v17.8.11

First thanks for ur answer.
I already have mod_python installed and also enabled in apache. However, plesk does not allow me to activate it in service plans because its in conflict with the server-wide policies.
I also tried to continue and to test but python don't run.

I saw in server components list that python is deprecated. Can it have something to do with it?

@mahmut ozdemir , I am not sure what exactly the same problem refers to. If it is about server-wide security policies like @M1KOR mentioned, you can try to edit /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/site_isolation_settings.ini and set python = on in that file. If it is about missing Python support, that would be the case since Plesk 17.8 and we have a KB article on it where you can find a workaround suggestion: https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/12377824001943
