qmail - Not_allowed_to_perform_deliveries_as_root

my problem came when I activated DrWeb for more than 14 users without having the license for.

I have done mchk and qmail-newu in my list of tests before it runs again.

Well, I don't have DrWeb (never have... waste of money), and I don't have access to Plesk 7.5.4 anymore since I made the horrible mistake of updating it to 8.0.0. So it would be nice to see sw-soft pick up the ball they dropped and fix this problem.

Another week has gone by and still no response. I've just checked and Plesk still have no updates for us.

Is there anyone from Plesk actually reading these things?

What would be the best way to put this....

"Don't hold your breath"

If *I* was sw-soft, I would be in hiding too. High loads, no mail, no deliveries, adding/removing/suspending of domains not working, backup feature being a piece of trash... would you want to come to the board if you were them?

My mailserver is two weeks offline now too.. Help!

related?

Also upgraded to 8...what a mess.
the qmail works mostly, but a couple of accounts do not have internet email and throw 554 response to incoming. but only a couple of accounts.
renameing the accounts has no effect.
destroying the accounts and the creating them again.
no effect
resorting to creating a new account name with alias of old account name works but how did this happen and why only a few.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Otis
p.s. I am dis-abling Dr web

on my mail server, it arrives sometimes that I see in the logs that message is delivered to one of our mailbox but the sender receives that it hasn't been delivered and the receiver never receives the message

it's very strange

Hi,

same problem with plesk 8.0 on a suse 9.3 server

It's a root server from a german provider called 1und1.

The problem occurs when sending emails to a mailing list (guess it always happens when the reciever is a local mbox?)

I opend a thread at 1und1 and they testet the situation on their reference system. Same problem. Maybe i get any useful hints, i will post them here.

But i would like to try the qmail-getpw solution. IFanybody could mail it to me?

[email protected]

Thx in advance

Kind of sad that you have to depend on a user to release a patch that could have been released by sw-soft in 10 minutes, without everyone having to wait a month beforehand...
Thanks, Tischi. Works great now. Still some high loads, but at least the mail queue isn't getting overfilled anymore.

"Sorry,_no_mailbox_here_by_that_name._(#5.1.1)/"

=> all your mails are rejected I think. It's what happened for me.

Hi Tischi,

unfortunanly the link doesn't work (anymore?). Could yuo please mail it to me? jw at datecpro.de

Thx in advance

Joe

GREAT NEWS.

I've just logged into Plesk, ran the updater and wahey, I can now see my logwatch emails.

Granted, I also see many bounced messages but I can see the contents of the bounce (my logwatch) within the bounce.

I wont sit here and state "Its about time" but I will say thankyou

hi,

i have plesk 8.0.1 and no mails from cronjobs... are mailed to root.

A patch was released and the problem has been resolved. If you're having problems with 8.0.1, especially since cron isn't working for you, you need to start looking at other potential causes.

hi brooks, cronjobs are working.. only the mails to root are not working... since 8.0.. and after update to 8.0.1
