I have Plesk freshly installed on a Debian server.

My SMTP port (25) is listening but I cannot send emails from a mail client like Outlook ! I can only send and receive mails via the Webmail of Plesk.

I create email account from Plesk and follow the notice.

When I configure account on Outlook, the pop configuration is good (but don't receive anything) and the smtp configuration return to me an error like nothing respond.

Anyone can help me ? Thank you !

    A little vague ...

Well first check if SMTP is working by:

    #> mail your_account_on@hotmail.com

and see if you receive it.
    If not telnet localhost 25
    mail from: you@yourhost.com
    rcpt to: you@yourhost.com
    data
    testing
    .
If it doesnt send check wich error is giving.

Maybe firewall is blocking port 25, try turn it off temporarily.
Check /var/qmail/mailnames/domains/yourdomain.com/youraccount/ and see if you are receiving mail when sending email to yourself from within the machine.

    Regards
