• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question About Servers Folder

In my C:\Inetpub\vhosts folder there is a folder called Servers. I have no idea what this folder is for as I don't think it has anything to do with the hosting but it looks like it contains copies of every site I have in it. Needless to say, this is taking up alot of space and causing the websites to take up about 5x the space from all the copies it is placing in here, my question is, what is this folder for? Do I need it or is it safe to delete? How do I disable whatever is filling up this folder with stuff to prevent it from taking up so much room again?

Thanks in advance.

Ok nevermind, I found out they are symbolic links for FTP, I guess I just need to exclude this directory from backups to prevent this large increase in the backup size.

MarshallT,

Please do nothing with folder C:\Inetpub\vhosts\Servers and its sub-folders. As you mentioned this are symbolic links and Plesk does not backup it.
