  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

RCPT Host changed after Backup

Marco Weinrich

New Pleskian
Hello,

every morning the /var/qmail/control/rcpthost file is change and one domain is always missing. That causes outside mail to bounce with "553 that domain isn't in my list ...."
If i stop mail service fot that domain and start it over again, the missing domain is insert automatically into the rctphost file .... until tomorrow!

I've found out that during backup the domain is blocked and domain name is remove during that from the rcpt host, which is normal. But why isn't that name inserted again afterwards?? That problem is happening only to one of 15 domains on that server...

btw sorry for my english

Marco

RTCP host changed...

I have a similar scenario although I can't say 100% it's due to back up timing.

I have one domain on which this occurs & it IS backed up daily - although it doesn't seem to break daily (need to verify). I have another domain on which it never occurs that is also backup daily.

perhaps unrelated or perhaps not, the one on which it occurs seems to be the last domain listed in the rtcphosts file & related in the qmail control directory. It's last because for at least one reason: I fix it as mentioned above, by disable/re-enable mail at the domain level & it's added back to the bottom of the list.

This used to happen on a different domain. I deleted all mailboxes & shut off mail service, stopped backups, the set the mail up again & it hasn't failed since.

Open to suggestions or points to other post I haven't found yet on the topic.
