Resolved Reached the max of 10 domains

casperb71

New Pleskian
Hi,

Sorry for my English but I do my best.

I have a VPS (Linux) from Strato (germany) with a Plesk lisence.
At the configuration of the domains I reached the max of 10.
The licensekey says that I have a max of 10 domains.
In the settings (pakkecheds) there is no limits on the max of the domains.

Many years ago I had the same problem, but I'm getting older and forgot how I solved it

Can anyone explain to me how I change it so I register more than 10 domains?

May thanks.

Hi casperb71,

pls. post the content from the command ( logged in as user "root" over SSH )

Code:
plesk bin keyinfo -l

WITHOUT the informations:

plesk_key_id
license_update_date
lim_date

( because these informations are not relevant and the ID itself should never be posted in a forum! )

Could you pls. explain the word "pakkecheds", because I don't really understand, where you got the informations from, that your license has "no domain limits".

Thanks for helping me.

The translation of Pakkecheds is Service Plans.

Could you explain how I put the commands at SSH

I loged in with SSH as root with my password.
Than I gave the command:

plesk bin keyinfo -l

The result is a list:

plesk_key_id: PLSKXXXXXXXXXXX (removed the key)
license_update_date: XXXXXX
lim_date: XXXXXX
lim_cl: -1
lim_dom: 10
lim_domain_aliases: -1
lim_mn: -1
lim_wu: -1
MLS: 1
allowed-locales: any
noMPC: 1
key_vz: 1
key_postgresql: 0
key_tomcat: 0
key_traffic: 1
key_notifmgr: 1
key_eventmgr: 1
key_actionmgr: 1
key_dombackup: 1
key_subdomains: 1
sitebuilder-sites: 0
key_migration: 1
key_remote_db: 1
key_qmail_queue: 1
mb_accounts: 0
can-manage-subscriptions: 1
can-manage-accounts: 1
can-manage-customers: 1
can-manage-resellers: 1
can-manage-custom-view: 1
outgoing-antispam: 1
security-core: 1

So wat do I do next? Do I have give other commands?

Thanks and I mailed the provider.
The option you give is also a good alternative. Depends on the price the charge.
:)

Strato has a funny system...
You start with 10. If you reach those you have to wait a while and then go to the Strato server page.
There you request more keys,
After a while you can download a 30 domain license key which you install.
You can repeat the procedure and you get a 100 domain license.
After that you get unlimited.

The wait between reaching the limit and being able to request a new license is several hours.
I believe you will get the key within an hour after that.

I don't know if the "Get license key" from the Plesk panel helps to trigger their system.
I always do that to make sure.

If you don't want to get surprised by this, you can load up some dummy domains.
Use your creativity for what suits you.

BTW... All this without extra charge

Yes the system is strange.

The answered my e-mail: (translated by Google)

Extension License License from 10 to 30 domains
As long as Plesk manages fewer domains if the current license key offers (namely 10 domains), an extension to 30 domains can not be activated yet. The next step to a license for 30 domains will be made available only after reaching the 7-10 domains.
Before you get a new license, your server must connect with the Plesk-Lizenzkey Server of Parallels. This checks the validity of the current license and whether your management license uses a corresponding number of domains.
Should a new license be made within 14 days after creating 10 domains, proceed as follows:
Sign up a. U. B. In your Plesk administration, click License Management, and then click Download License Key.
You hereby request a new key, which will be made available to the client within a short period of time. You can download the Key here and then upload it again in Plesk.

So I have to wait..............................................................................................................

I have done this about 20 times in the last few months.
I replaced several servers and some of them were fishy, so replaced these again.

When you need to migrate a server with >100 domains to a new Strato server you need to repeat this procedure several times and create dummy domains to get an unlimited license before you start...

Another thing to note is that the WordPress extensions only starts working after you upgraded the license to 30 domains.

Yes I had this before, but then it was solved within 24 hrs.
I'm using Joomla on these server and that is working perfectly.
I have domains enough on the list so I wait a few days.
I'll let you know.
