could you guys tell me please what kind of configuration best meets Plesk ?!

what do you recomend ?! and, how many domains is plesk able to manage ?! 200 ? 300 ? ! 500 ?! 1000 ?!!

i want to add about 900 hosting domains on a server, dual XEON 2,8, scsi raid1 disks !

does it support ?!

It does support

Plesk supports unlimited domains

If you buy a license ;)

OPTIMAL CONFIGURATION SERVER ?!

could you please provide an optimal configuration server for about 600-900 domains ?!

If you want or need Optimal Performance then you need is the following specs:

Xeon Processor or AMD Opteron cpu and stay from slow cpus like AMD 1400 lol

1Gb or more Memory DDR2

Intel NicCard

80Gb or more hard disk brand Seagate not crappy disk like Maxtor

100Mbps connection

Os Linux with cPanel

Thats all.

Add ons

Firewall is needed for security open ports can cause attacks on server.

Anti Virus for cleaning viruses

Spybot to clear Spyware

What kind of sites say more then plesk or hardware...heavy database site/forums etc differ much from static ones.

web, mail and small databases

i want to use an external SQL Server , so databases willnot be used with this server

so, i expect to be able to host about 600 sites using a dual xeon 2,8 with SCSI 73 GB

It depends of domains content.
We have one server on Plesk 7.5.6 with 2250 domains.
But it has dual Xeon 3.2 and 8GB fo memory.
As for disks it is better to use raid 10.

We use the following configuration:

Intel DualCore 2.8Gb
2GB RAM
2x120GB Raid1
Intel Network Adapter
about 500 domains.

We use the following software:

Windows server 2003 Standard/Enterprise with sp1
IIS 6.0
FrontPage Extensions
ASP 1.1/2.0
MySql/php
Perl
Python
ColdFusion MX 7.0.1 Enterprise (a real resouce ******)
and an external MSSQL 2000 server
Sitebuilder

If you're not using ColdFusion you should be eable to set up 1000 domains on your box easy!
